Dr. Sadoh Omo-Osa Abasi
Dr. Sadoh Omo-Osa Abasi was born on the 9th of March, 1963, in the Domiciliary centre of University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. Mallam Sadoh began his early education in Muslim Primary School, Iyakpi, South Ibie from 1969 to 1972 , Ogbe Primary School, Effurun from 1972 to 1974, Unity School (Primary), Agbarho. from 1976 to 1981, and Unity School (Secondary), Agbarho from 1976 to 1981. Upon the completion of his secondary education, Mallam Sadoh proceeded to the Univeristy of Benin in 1981 , where he studied biochemistry, graduating with second class honours in 1985. Dr. Sadoh’s quest for higher education, brought him back to the ivory towers yet again in 1993, for a masters degree in industrial chemistry, which he completed in 1995. With so much thirst for more knowledge, Dr. Sadoh returned again to the University of Benin, for a masters in Bussiness Admistration graduating in 1998. Indeed Dr. Sadoh is an intellectual explorer, in 2004, Dr. Sadoh proceeded to the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, for a Post Graduate Diploma in Education and also graduating in 2006. Mallam Sadoh’s inimitable love for knowledge, propelled him into completing a doctorate degree in food chemistry in 2025 from the same University, where he began his University education, University of Benin, Benin City.
Furthermore, it is pertinent to state that upon the completion of his bachelor’s degree from the University of Benin , Dr. Sadoh joined the teaching workforce of Edo State , where he rose to become Principal Special Grade II, before joining the services of the now defunct, College of Education, Igueben, in 2007 as lecturer III. Dr. Sadoh’s resilience and hardwork saw him rise through the academic ranks to become a Chief Lecturer in 2018. It is also important to state that in the course of the restructuring of teachers’ education in Edo State by the Godwin Obaseki’s administration in 2020, wherein the three Colleges of Education in Edo State became defunct, Dr. Sadoh’s wealth of experience was also found inimitable, and against this background, was appointed as one of the pioneer Chief lecturers of the Edo State College of Education in 2023.
